Sebastian Schröder

I am part of the LawCom.Institute because ...

... Law and communication belong together. In a constitutional state, standards, procedures and government decisions must be comprehensible to everyone. That is the basis of our democracy and the best remedy against populism.

Activity

I add 25 years of experience as a manager at the interfaces between the administrative departments of politics and law to the team. It is important to me to develop pragmatic and efficient solutions for today's challenges. My main topics are legal policy as well as governance and digitalization in the administrative sector.

Person

As a lawyer and previously as State Secretary in various ministries, as Finance Senator of the Hanseatic City of Rostock, as University Chancellor, and during my political work, I have experienced and helped to shape constitutional action and democratic processes, and still do. I am married and father of a son. We live in the metropolitan region of Hamburg - in Schwerin.
